Adif has tendered the contract for the supply of digital ASFA material for actions, repairs and spare parts in the General Interest Railway Network (RFIG), for an amount of 6,655 million euros (VAT included).
This supply contract will be carried out under an open order regime - depending on the needs for the correct provision of the railway service and without a firm purchase commitment - and is distributed in three lots. The batch of material for temporary speed limitation is tendered for an amount of 3,025 million euros (VAT included). The second lot, which refers to spare parts for temporary speed limitation, has a tender budget of 3,025 million euros (VAT included). Finally, the third lot, which provides for the provision of beacon checking equipment, is tendered for an amount of 605,000 euros (VAT included).
The ASFA (Signal Announcement and Automatic Braking) is an automatic protection system through the timely transmission of information via machine. The new ASFA digital system represents a technological evolution with respect to the Analog ASFA system.
